Impressive and very advanced XSTO M4!!- Life Changing
I have owned three electric wheelchairs. With my IBM Myositis deterioration, I am no longer able to use my leg braces safely so I am now using a wheelchair. The following features of the XSTO M4 are life changing:
1. Raising and lowering the seat to allow me to wash dishes in the kitchen sink, cook on the stove top, reach to microwave, grab dishes on kitchen shelves and use the bathroom sink to shave and wash my hands and faces.
2. Break the wheelchair in to 3 pieces so my wife can put in our SUV Car.
3. Raise the seat to I can transfer safely to the SUV passenger or driver seat.
The wheelchair is able to move easily throughout my one story house and move into the garage using a ramp over the steps and get to my back yard and out to the sidewalks with ease,. The balancing ability is a feature my other chairs didn't have. The wheelchair is virtually noiseless and the control device is very precise and easy to use.
The instruction manual is effective with the exception of the pictutes of the M4. While the manual provides detailed, effective step by step instructions, the pictures are not as helpful as I need. The black and white photos and not clear enough to understand.
In terms of challenges, the width of the wheelchair is too large --wheel to wheel for me to use the wheelchair to get to my bathroom toilet. Since the toilet is in a small room with a door in the larger bathroom, I can't get close enough to transfer to the toilet. I use a transfer board but the distance is too large for the transfer board to allow a safe transfer. I have to use a different wheelchair to go to the bathroom which requires a transfer between chairs. I knew this was going to be a problem We may modify the doorway to the toilet to allow the M4 to be used, Most people would not have this issue. I have not used the cell phone app yet, but the instructions to allow me to use my iPhone and the pictures are good. (much better than the other M4 Manual picture.)

Life Changing
The M4 is a game changer when it comes down to portable mobility. The fact that you can pack up a motorize wheelchair that has most of the features and functionalities of other non portable heavy duty chairs is amazing. The chair is not light weight but customizable, which is something that I took full advantage of. I require a different cushion which I was able to add to the chair. The chair can ride on many different types of terrain. I would not suggest sand. The chair will adjust well to small hurdles and obstacles. I wish it went faster but they do have different speeds. I really enjoy that I can go to many different places and achieve different heights is by far one of the biggest advantages.

bought the XSTO M4 wheelchair for my mom, and it’s been amazing! She absolutely loves it — it’s given her so much more freedom and confidence, especially when going out. The ride is smooth, the controls are easy for her to use, and the adjustable seat height is a game-changer! It’s been such a blessing seeing her enjoy getting around again. The advancement of MS has required I make the move from a rollator to a wheelchair. I’ve been searching for a power wheelchair for a while: a solution that would be affordable, reasonably compact, and easily maneuverable in my home without the need to look at renovations to widen doorways and hall ways. The XSTO M4 was brought to my attention by Ebuka Osuorah, owner of SwiftCare NEMT, a service I am using to get to doctors. Through an XSTO’s guidance I decided to purchase the M4. I have to say, the M4 is amazing! I found it lives up to expectations: small enough to fit in my home wonderfully, allowing me to navigate easily through all rooms and door ways. The feature that allows me to raise and lower the seat makes it possible to reach higher shelves and cabinets. And the battery seems quite long-lasting! Running on normal speed, I still have yet to charge it a second time. I would highly recommend the XSTO M4 - it’s making my daily life a lot easier!
